Lemon Yogurt Loaf Gift Bags
Packaging a gift is an expression of art. When done right, it can really make the recipient feel loved and have them experience the TLC upon receiving. My favorite thing to make for friends and family is a good lemon loaf, because who doesn’t love this everyday cake for everyday life? I’ve packaged and gifted my loaves in different ways, depending on if I’m giving slices or giving an entire loaf.
MATERIALS:
Parchment Paper
Brown Kitchen Twine
White Lunch bags (the heavier weight of paper, the better!)
Our custom lemon loaf label printed on Sticker Paper and cut to size
GIFTING SLICES
1. Print the lemon loaf labels on sticker paper, cut along the trim marks and place on bags (about 1.5” from bottom of bag), set aside
2. Cut the loaf into thick slices.
3. Individually wrap each loaf with parchment paper (like a gift) and tie with brown kitchen twine.
3. Place desired amount of loaves into each bag and fold the tops over.
3. “Seal” the bags by tying a piece of kitchen twine around the tops of the bag to enclose, finish with a ribbon tie.
GIFTING A LOAF
I’ve found that there is no easy way to package and gift a loaf due to its size and sometimes, uneven “muffin top” shape. After making three loaves for gifting and realizing that none of my original purchased box options were a fit, I finally wrapped them with parchment paper the way that I would a present, and it ended up being the most perfect, rustic presentation of homemade love.

Our custom lemon loaf label printed on card stock
1. Print the lemon loaf labels on card stock, cut along the trim marks and punch a hole on the top left corner, set aside.
2. Individually wrap each loaf with parchment paper (like a gift) and tie with brown kitchen twine. (Work slowly and have a surface edge to help you secure the loaf and paper in place while working with the twine)
3. After the loaf is packaged and tied, slip a label around the twine and finish off with a ribbon tie.
Happy Gifting!
